Progress!!!

In an effort to save some of my vacation time for after baby #2 arrives, we asked about changing PB's therapy schedule so that I don't have to go into work late every Wednesday. This started a conversation between scheduling and his therapists that resulted in this....

Once a week appointments on the Hub's day off that will alternate between OT and Speech. And the speech therapist just told me..............

PB only needs 5 more sessions after today!!! She said his speech is age appropriate and she just wants to ensure his skills are generalized to all situations!!!

Woo hoo!!!!

PB has been in different therapies since he was 10 months old. We completed PT in August and he now scores above his age level for gross motor skills. He has been in speech therapy for 8 months and will be graduating that soon!! Two down, two to go.

I have asked myself if all of this was necessary. A lot. But honestly, I would have rather done all this therapy and maybe have it be unnecessary, than look back and wish I'd done something more.

I give a lot of props to the Hub for his patience and compliance with all this. He gets up on his day off and gets PB to therapy. Every week. Without complaint. It's so good to know that we've been in this together. To do everything we can to give PB every opportunity to succeed in this world.

Because, as we've already seen, there is nothing like seeing your child succeed. Nothing.
