Motherhood is a contact sport

At least it feels that way. A list of my current pains includes:

*an unbelievably aching back due to the literal hours of walking and bouncing I do each day. With a 14lb newborn on board.

*numbness, tingling, and pain from my right elbow to my fingertips. Not sure how this ailment was acquired, but I think it might have to do with the rediscovered pleasure of sleeping on my stomach.

*bruised-feeling breast bone. This was acquired during an MMA-style visit to the pediatric dentist. I assume the back of PB's head feels just fine.

*a multitude of bruises on my right forearm and left thigh. Arm bruises from reaching in the backseat, searching desperately for a paci for a newborn who HATES his car seat. Thigh bruises are from carrying said newborn in said car seat.

**Cue Eye of the Tiger**

I need to condition my body like a professional athlete. Stretch. Workout. Build up callouses. That's what a true sportsman does and I am up for the challenge. Parenting these little people will not break me down!!!

I will eat right. I will exercise. I WILL PARENT.
