CIO Chronicles: Part 2

Ok. So there are 2 possible reasons why you haven't heard about nights 4-10 yet. Either that they went so poorly that I am too exhausted to write about it, rehashing nights of screaming and crying and thrashing about. Or that they went so famously well that I hesitate to jinx it.

I am happy to report it is the latter!! I am not gonna lie and say from night 4 on, it was all sleep and no tears. There have been some tears. But just that. Tears. No more hour-long battles for sleep. Just little whines and cries that were easily managed with a paci and a little pat of the behind.

And best of all, no more sleeping in our bed. He has come to our bed in the um, "late" hours of morning (after 5am), but there have been just as many mornings that the Hub and I wake PB in his own little crib.

Am I bummed we didn't try this sooner? Yes and no. I admit some crazy part of me misses snuggling in bed with my little man. But the part of me that sleeps in a fair portion of the bed wins this war.

We will be doing things a little differently if another baby blesses our home. But if parenting isn't a learning experience, it's nothing at all.
